“We need thousands of more couples serving in the missions of the Church. Every mission president pleads for them. They…can leave the grandchildren. Those little darlings will be just fine, and I promise you will do things for them in the service of the Lord that, worlds without end, you could never do if you stayed home to hover over them. What greater gift could grandparents give their posterity than to say by deed as well as word, “In this family we serve missions!”

Thanksgiving in Tirana.

 

THANKSGIVING IN TIRANA

SO EXCITING TO DRIVE INTO TIRANA WITH A CAR FULL EXCITED ELDERS;   TO BE BACK WHERE THEY FIRST SERVED, AND AT THE MISSION OFFICE AND FOR THANKSGIVING DINNER AND MISSION CONFERENCE WITH THE WHOLE MISSION !!
(PRISTINA KOSOVO IS THE FARTHEST NORTH IN THE MISSION)



WE CAME THE NIGHT BEFORE AND THE ELDERS STAYED WITH OTHER MISSIONARIES AND WE STAYED AT THE TIRANA INTERNATIONAL HOTEL..HAD A GREAT DINNER AND FABULOUS VIEW OF A THE CITY..


EVERYTHING WAS SO FESTIVE IN RED AND BLACK AND HUGE FLAGS  ON HUGE BUILDINGS ... INDEPENDENCE DAY

SO FUN TO BE WITH THE OTHER MISSION COUPLES AND FIX A THANKSGIVING DINNER;  4 TURKEYS,STUFFING AND ALL THE TRIMMINGS.   EACH SET OF MISSIONARIES BROUGHT DESERT FOR A DESERT CONTEST..AND THEIR TALENT FOR THE TALENT SHOW.......WE HEADED BACK TO KOSOVO WITH HEARTS FILLED WITH  GRATITUDE AND THE SPIRIT OF THE MISSION !!!
