Most days are spent walking. It's not exactly ideal driving conditions in Prishtina. Walking, walking, walking! And of course getting lost, and needing directions. This sweet woman did not just give directions, but walked along for 20-30 minutes to show the way.
Still walking...... the dome buildings with the separate little tower are Mosques. Many of them.
The people of Kosovo love Bill Clinton, a boulevard is named after him, Bil Klinton Blvd. He sent over the troops to recue them from the Serb's ethnic cleansing and slaughters..driving them out of Serbia. There is a huge American base here, and military from several countries. There is still unrest in the North. we have been warned not to go up or near Mitrovica as there is still fighting near the border, not safe, and they, the Serbs, do not like Americans. The People of Kosovo LOVE Americans we are treated very well and our flag is everywhere. It seems these countries honor our President, regardless of who it is, when we come to rescue.
