“We need thousands of more couples serving in the missions of the Church. Every mission president pleads for them. They…can leave the grandchildren. Those little darlings will be just fine, and I promise you will do things for them in the service of the Lord that, worlds without end, you could never do if you stayed home to hover over them. What greater gift could grandparents give their posterity than to say by deed as well as word, “In this family we serve missions!”

The Market: Treg

The Treg
 (Market)

Sam carried a 20 pound watermelon  and I carried two big cabbages home from the market...kind of far..several blocks..but driving is OUT..no parking !!! Always easier to walk...!!!
We have been to this section several times... a bag of 12 cucumbers, 5 large tomatoes and onions...50 cents. And he was thrilled to get it!!
This young boy is always here (school is out till Sept. 1). He speaks really good English. He told us most of his produce came from his Uncle's farm in the country, and they buy some to bring in to sell.

This man was so happy to get his picture taken...he is selling Feta Cheese. It is in these buckets full of slosh. He just reaches in and grabs a hunk then weighs it and puts it in a bag for you! We have had it in restraurants in salads. Cucumbers, tomatoes and feta !!  Looks delicious !!  It's their main cheese.  I will find out how they make it...not sure what it is made of.

Grains and nuts and beans and wheat and floury stuff ??? Scoop what you want.
Everything is weighed and sold by the kilo.
This is how Feta is sold in all the markets...tell them how much, how many kilo, they weigh it and give you what you want !!!

EGGS
So, I asked one of the Elders how the eggs were and he said they are great !! They are very fresh..they still have poop on them !!!! They eat them everyday !!

Eggs are also sold in some of the Markets  in boxes of 10 !!
